Morgan Stanley's latest report upgraded Hong Kong stocks to 'overweight', predicting that with increasing mainland pro-growth policies and a loosening global liquidity environment, the Hang Seng Index could challenge 28,000 points by year-end. The investment bank is particularly bullish on internet leaders and consumer stocks.
Individual Stock Movements: Tencent's Large Buyback
Notably, Tencent Holdings announced after the market close that it spent about HK$1.5 billion today to repurchase 3.8 million shares, at a price range of HK$405-416. This is Tencent's 21st consecutive trading day of buybacks, with total repurchases exceeding HK$30 billion.
